My pursuit of my Achan’s dream – the 8th trip – June 2018- Bhrigu Lake Trek Altitude, 14009 ft.
eing in Delhi was a great advantage as I could go for treks more frequently. After a hectic work I just took off to explore another beautiful trek of 3 days from Manali to Bhrigu Lake with India Hikes.
Achan always described Alpine Lakes as beautiful and this trek gave me chance to see it for myself. This trek is known for a pretty grassland and we can see a glacial lake along with a magnificent view of the peaks of Manali like Deo Tibba , Shitidhar & Hanuman Tibba when one is walking on the grassland. The lush green meadows open into beautiful Campsites at Gulabo and Rola Khuli
Our Trek Leader Leo Saldanha was taking his first batch of trekkers & had demonstrated effective collaboration while dealing with different people in the group. This is another trait required for effective leadership at any given point of time. An important take away for me.
Hope our paths cross again Leo in the mountains
I met Vishnu Ravi, with whom I felt an immediate sibling bond. We just fought and had fun like any other siblings throughout the trek. We never knew back then we would be known as Lambu Chotu & would be travelling together in future.
