Out of box thinking
My pursuit of my Achan’s dream – the 9th trip – July 2018 – Kashmir Great Lake Trek, Altitude 13800 ft.
After lot of debates finally I was granted leaves to go to Kashmir & Achan always described it as heaven on earth.
KGL is my favourite trek with picture perfect views of seven alpine glacial lakes in this trek scattered across isolated valley. View from Gadsar pass is the icing on the cake and best reward after a tough climb.
Naman , our Trek leader had innovative style of managing difficult portions of the trek specially the boulder section of this trek. We had award winning photographers from Bangladesh with whom we have hilarious moments posing for pics & videos which made the trek more special. The experience with locals touched my soul with warm hospitality & the culture of this place left me mesmerized.
My take away back to my corporate life as a leader was to bring more innovative and out of box thinking to make work more enjoyable for my teams.
Whether to take a pause in my corporate career or not was the question in mind on my way back.
As I look back I am really happy that I took that decision. Monika you had given me travel goals & remembered you & Bhupi Bhai in all my adventure trips
