My pursuit of my Achan’s dream – 28th Trip – Bali – 4th Aug till 16th Aug 2019

Solo trip to Bali was like a relaxed holiday for me as I was doing back to back difficult treks. I had great time exploring Bali like a local.

Being a backpacker and staying at hostels as its own charm. I had a great time talking about Indian culture during the evening dinner with my hostel mates. It was fun to explain about Rajasthan, Mumbai, Kerala, festivals & history of India etc. It was such a proud moment for a chatter box like me.

Hoping Islands, Trekking to Mt Batur, exploring Ubud markets, Bali swing, Rice fields & water fall of Ubud & Temples like Taman Ayun Temple, Tanah Lot Temple, enjoying surfing, trying out local cuisine was an experience of one of its kind. Had a chance to see the coral islands which were so beautiful as described by Achan.

Best Moment was overcoming my fear of going under water thru scuba diving in Gili Trawangan. Although in the group of four I had so much difficulty in learning the techniques that my instructor Nandine was scared of me. She had to make me learn it thru some creative ways. I went diving twice & experience was just surreal.

Takeaways were
X of Growth Mindset I learnt was XYZ did not work then try ABC which meant that you have to be more creative
