Travel Sabbatical Series 19

My pursuit of my Achan’s dream – 30th Trip Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Ri- 3rd Oct to 21st Oct 2019 – Altitude 17575 ft

View of Mt Everest was like a dream come true moment for me. I was at loss of words when I saw the top of the world from Gokyo Ri. I had tears of happiness in my eyes & felt blessed.

Ram our Guide was calling me Didi you are trekker now. Yes was my reply

This 19 year old was my companion from Day 1. I had told him that I will call myself a trekker only once I have seen Chomulungama name given by Tibetans for Mt Everest which means (Goddess Mother of Mountains). That day had come and he knew how badly I wanted this and he remembered.

Finally my hard work in terms of discipline, fitness and diet had paid off. My BP which shoots up only at high altitude had not troubled me this time.

Only wish at that moment was if I could give a hug to Achan just one more time.

In my group there were people who were around 70 years who have inspired me & given me life goals

Thanks Su for being there for me as a pillar of support as always & turning me into a photographer.

Takeaways were
Z of Growth Mindset I learnt was ZANY can lead to amazing things
