My pursuit of my Achan’s dream – 25th Trip Rupin Pass Trek Altitude 15279 ft- 16th June to 24th June 2019
As I was preparing for Everest base camp so slowly my choice of treks was moving towards difficult ones. Vishnu who is like my sibling, whom I had met last year on a trek wanted to go on a trek with me that’s how we enrolled for Rupin Pass trek.
The major attraction which led us to decide for this trek was the climbing the pass thru Rupin gully at 15000ft
It is a cross over trek and the scenery changes at every turn. Rupin waterfall is a big surprising element & from a distance you see it falling from clouds.
The difficult climb is of 200mtr on a steep snowy path through rocky patch of the mountain. This climb is the most thrilling climb I have ever experienced and loved every bit of it.
On the third day, the trek was getting tough for me so had to offload my backpack. Although I never wanted to offload but when I saw people falling sick. I never wanted to take a chance. It was an unsuccessful attempt for me for not being able to carry my backup. I was able to reach the summit and cherished the moment at the top.
Meghna was our Trek Leader & was delighted to see her dedication and love for mountains. She ensured smooth cross over & reach summit even though she was unwell Takeaways were
U of Growth Mind-set which I learnt was Unsuccessful Attempts are all part of the process.
To be continued…
More stories about this trek in my upcoming book.
