It gives me immense joy to share about my next upcoming book which is based on dance. The reference is taken from Ashta Nayika as classified by Bharata Muni in Natya Shastra. The eight nayikas represent eight different states (avastha) in relationship to her hero or nayaka.
This book is collection of eight stories about today’s woman from different walks of life. It is about how a women go through a journey of choices , inner conflicts about individuality and conditioning, her desires and dreams, her goals and ambitions, creativity. The need for self-awareness, self-love and self-leadership in life. The stories depict the importance of nayaka ( hero) at different stages in life for these woman for whom joy of life is found through dancing.
I have been sharing poems and sketches on Instagram for my characters.
